I just noticed a typo in one of my own comments, on my own Livejournal (a slightly older post, where I talk about Fido roaming rates; I said it was $0.30 a kilobyte, where it should have said $0.03). So I clicked on the little pencil icon that allows me to edit my comment...

I like going to Regretsy, a site that pokes fun at the crap that clogs up Etsy. The basic concept is that there is excellent stuff on Etsy, made by hard-working artisans, but the odds of you finding it are greatly reduced by the sheer volume of utter crap generated by anyone who can spraypaint macaroni shells and glue them to a piece of barnwood. My mom and my sister's birthdays are coming up, so yesterday at lunch I went to buy some birthday cards. I found three that I liked, and went to pay for them. Our public transit system, the TTC, has not been doing so well lately in terms of public relations. Service has been deteriorting for some time now (so much so that I now routinely leave home fifteen minutes earlier to allow for the near-inevitable "delay due to mechanical difficulties" on the subway). So we're installing full body scanners at our airports. For those of you not in the know, these scanners provide full-body images to security personnel, and will purportedly be able to see through your clothing.

Unless you're under 18. Apparently, we won't be scanning anyone under 18 because that could be construed as making child pornography.

I know we're all kind of lax on the TTC's "No eating on the public transit" policy — sometimes you just don't have time to eat that bagel or sandwich before you have to bolt out the door, so you bring it with you. I get it, and we all tend to look the other way when that's going on.
